Note: Sadly, we had to say goodbye to Mack at the end of September, 2016 (he turned 12 in August, 2016).
A huge
loss for all who loved and knew him but I hope someday to use the
limited frozen semen I have stored of his to have a Mack litter.

Mack is the first Rottweiler to earn the Obedience Grand Master title.
Mack came out of retirement to compete at the 2012 ARC Nationals in St. Louis - and earned first place in Utility B and Open B and Highest Combined Score two days in a row.
Five consecutive National Obedience Invitational/Championship trials and Mack earned placements in the Working Group every year - with three times earning first place (2010, 2012, 2013).

News Flash: After years of obedience, Mack made his foray into the breed ring and is now
now a champion! Mack earned a 3 point major in April and a 4 point major in May, 2011.
Mack is only the 5th Rottweiler in AKC history to earn the Champion and OTCH titles!

Mack was in the ARC Top 10 for 2008 for 7, count 'em, 7, categories (obedience, rally and carting) and is in 3 of the Top 10 for 2009 in obedience! (2009: #1 Open Dog, #3 Utility Dog, #6 Carting Intermediate - even with 6 mos. off!)
Mack qualified (twice) for the 2010 National Obedience Invitational in January, 2010.
Mack qualified for the 2011 National Obedience Invitational in July, 2010.

Mack has had extended periods of "rest and relaxation." From July to December, 2009, we were rehabbing from a soft tissue shoulder injury/strain and he returned with only a week and an half of practice to compete in the 2009 NOI (where he earned third in the Working Group). In 2010, we had little time to train and we limited his jumping, but he earned first place in the Working Group at that yearŐs NOI. In 2011, Mack was off from competion from December, 2010, after finishing the NOI, until July, 2011. No jumping or heavy training, but even without that preparation, Mack earned third place in the Working Group at the 2011 NOI. Mack is likely the only Rottweiler to qualify for the National Obedience Invitational three years in a row and to earn placements from that competition each year.

What does he eat? Raw food. Buffalo ribs. Non-paying clients. Chicken (fryers, leg/thigh, wings, gizzards, liver, giblets, hearts, feet). Bison tongue. Turkey necks and gizzards. Intruders. Scrambled eggs. Tax assessors. Whole bonito (fish). Superheroes. Beef (heart, liver, kidney, ribs, lungs). Clerks. Pork (chops, neck bones, brisket,, ribs). Skinned rabbit (not his favorite), yogurt, string cheese, pumpkin, ostrich patties, grass-fed beef tripe (they say it's stomach but it smells like sh*t), rude children (when parents aren't looking) duck (hearts, wings), leftover chicken soup and the stuff he gets by begging, which occasionally includes "people food" and., on very rare occasions, a lick or two of ice cream.
WANTED: Venison (okay, so it's for his owner).
